Hooray! Best fiancée, ever! This was my Valentine’s Day gift from N.

It’s a Meizu Miniplayer, M6 SP This thing is sweet! 8G flash player, plays music and videos, has an FM tuner, voice recorder.

There are a lot of really nice features, like all sorts of EQ and sound spatialization, third-party tools to allow you to skin it and change icons, and one REALLY nice feature: volume limit. You can set the max volume so you don’t bump the controls and blast your ears.

The sort of dpad is button, scroll wheel, and tap-pad.

Best sound quality, ever.

Lastly, probably the thing I like most about it is that it’s a sort of grey-market, Chinese import. It didn’t come with a manual because the manual hasn’t been translated, yet.

Makes me feel like kind of hip and edgy. I’ve never had anything cutting edge, before!

(Also also, this is the first ever portable mp3 player I’ve ever had, and the first walkman-like device I’ve owned in over a decade.)
