I think I’m going through puberty again.
It’s really weird… For the past three or four days I’ve been having mood swings — way easier to get really happy, then instantly get into a funk. It’s freaky and a little frightening. As well, I’ve been having to shave more often. And I’m always hungry. Historically I’ve been pretty low key, libido-wise, but now it’s like I can be a horn-dog at the drop of a hat. And yes, spontaneous erections at no provocation.
This sucks. I thought I’d left this behind 10 years ago. The only mitigating factors are 1) I’ve got a historical and experiential perspective, so I can at least kind of understand it, and 2) I’m over 25, so my frontal lobes (decision making part of the brain) have finished developing and I can exert some control over the emotional promptings.
It’s still unnerving and weird, though.
