True story, my wife’s uncle once left a rousing spiritual and, filled with the Holy Spirit, let go of the wheel “to let God drive”. The car was totaled. Also it wasn’t actually his vehicle.

Also, I don’t own a cassette player any longer — so ironic enjoyment is entirely out of the question.

I spent about the first 5 years of my life living on a seminary campus with sort of epic/future-retro architecture, so I’m a sucker for monuments. I have a soft-spot for idyllic landscapes and unique structures that make one feel like one is Somewhere and Things Are Happening.

I long to one day see the milky way. Funny to think that was once a common sight, as normal as seeing the moon. Now light pollution prevents it in quite a bit of the world.
