A little less than a year ago I was big into creating miis in the Mii channel on the Wii. I created bunches — some good, some not so good. Some of them I created with the intent that I would never use them, but in the hopes that they would show up in the background when playing Wii Sports, such as bowling and tennis (random miis walk around in the background, or sit in the stands as you’re playing the game.)
Well, five of the miis I created were almost identical, they kind of looked like Asian clones. These miis were named Jane 1 through Jane 5. I kept them and enjoyed them, because they were a little creepy when bunched together. Around June I got tired of them and deleted those five miis.
Now, there’s an interesting feature with the Mii Channel where one can set a mii to “mingle”, meaning it will travel through the internet and show up on other consoles. I habitually set all my miis to mingle, meaning all those Janes were wandering to other consoles.
Last week I checked out the Mii Channel and the Mii Parade, the latter being the place where Mingle Miis show up. Lo and behold, Jane 5 was there.
This means that the five Janes I deleted from my console now have a life on the internet, through Nintendo’s network. They are the undying.
This pleases me immensely.
