I have however found that there have been extreme lags from del.iciou.us feeds on other sites so I wonder if it's more of a problem on their end. As for other online solutions, I've heard good things about Bloglines but I've not really used it much myself. Sorry, no suggestions for a different reader. My blog uses WordPress so perhaps that's the issue with the delay? I also use feed burner for my feeds, just to let you know all the variables involved.
