I somewhat clearly remember teaching myself to tie my shoes. I apparently picked one of the common, poorly implemented ways. Thanks to my housemate, I can now wear my shoes without fear of them coming untied.

(Seriously, my shoes used to come untied between 5 and 10 times each day. It was maddening!)
