It’s a video covering the early development of arpanet (the network whence the internet sprung).
Aside from the whole “look how far we have come” aspect, it’s also interesting to infer the things they take for granted — such as the difficulty to obtain programs and the projected complexity of the various nodes on the network. It’s really fascinating.
Also a little sad when you hear about some of the things they wanted to do with it that were obviously, to me, from an entirely educational standpoint; now usurped by commerce.
