I’m doing this post over an internet connection that keeps breaking. Grrr… Verizon is the suck.
I went to Ohio. I got stuck in traffic a bit. People drive like ass — if the left lane is closing, for God’s sake get in the right lane sometime before the last minute. Pls? kthxbye.
I saw my mom and my nephew.
I love my nephew, but I don’t know why he thinks I’m such hot shit. Apparently does, cause he gets all excited to see me, each time.
I also saw my brother, sister, brother-in-law, and sister-in-law, niece Elisabeth and nephew Leighton.
And the dog, Tigger.
*heart* spending time with my family.
A large potato was in attendance.
We ate a buttload of food. There were two turkeys for 6 adults and 2 children to consume. Insanity!
I drew a sweet dragon with my nephew’s Magnadoodle
Then I helped my brother-in-law teach my sister-in-law how to play Freecell.
Then attempted to take non-blurry photos of my niece, Elisabeth.
At 2 AM the next day, my brother, brother-in-law, and myself attended the morning ritual at Best Buy for Black Friday. I rather wanted to get that $400 laptop, but alas there was a clot of people who had been there as early as 9 PM (of Thanksgiving day), so I was unable to. I did, however score a wireless router with dongle for $15 or so, and 175 DVD-Rs for $12.
BF shopping is a pain in the ass, cold, and frustrating — it’s a strange sort of sensation though. You’re in this horde of people all trying to do the lone hunter thing (essentially), yet there’s a certain camraderie in the line. From shared sorrow, maybe. Quite an experience. That, more than the savings, is why I do it. Kind of an impromptu feeling of tribe.

I discovered that their dog is a pimp.
And with this knowledge, drove home and into traffic. Again.
I have about an eighth of one of those turkeys in my fridge.
