I think I’ve finally figured out why I’ve been getting up so early, before my alarm clock.

This morning I woke to the pleasant sound of my car alarm chirping. Not that I could hear the actual alarm, but my particular car alarm has a paging feature on the fob. If the alarm is activated, the opener vibrates and plays a series of alternating up and down beeps. If the shock sensor is activated, the fob plays an ascending scale of beeps, and vibrates. This morning it was playing a scale every ten seconds and vibrating ferociously — like a lonely, forgotten dildo, dancing across my wooden night table.

I was hearing the shock sensor go off this morning, and it had apparently been doing this off and on for some time… I say this because I looked out the window to check my ride and saw one of my neighbors on his motorcycle, parked right next to my car. He was sitting on the bike, engine running, looking at my car and revving his engine.

Each time he revved the shock sensor would trigger.

And it wasn’t accidental, because he’d rev RIGHT after the car stopped chirping.

*revv*
*chirp chirp chirp chirp*
*revv*
*chirp chirp chirp chirp*

I swear, next time I catch this I’m ging to hit the panic button on the fob and just let the alarm go off for a minute or two. See how he likes being next to a 160dB siren.
